Research on the time of Lü Fengzi's working at Beijing Female Higher Normal School

1918年初秋至1920年夏,吕凤子在北京女子高等师范学校任图画手工科教师,并且担任科主任一职。这是他一生中十分重要的经历。其间,他参加了伟大的"五四"爱国运动,接受了马克思主义的熏陶,接触了各界名流,阅读了大量西方经典著作,在思想、艺术、文化等方面逐步趋于成熟,为他成为著名教育家、美术家奠定了坚实的基础。

From the autumn of 1918 to the summer of 1920, Lit Fengzi taught in the Department of Hand-drawing and acted as director of the Department at Beijing Female Higher Normal School. This was a very important stage in his life. During this period of time, Lti Fengzi took part in the greatest ＂May Fourth＂ Campaign and received Marxist education and met famous important figures from all sides. His reading of a great number of Western classic works enabled him to be mature in mind, art and culture, which formed a firm base for him to be a famous educator and artist.
