委婉语的概念隐喻机制分析——以与金融危机有关的委婉语为例

Mechanism Analysis on Conceptual Metaphors of Euphemisms: A Case Study of Euphemisms about Financial Crisis

委婉语以往被视为一种传统的语言现象和修辞手法,通常利用社会语言学和心理语言学来对其进行研究。然而从认知的视角来看,委婉语是通过概念隐喻机制来进行意义建构的,因此,本文尝试用认知语言学中的概念隐喻理论,以与金融危机有关的委婉语为例来解析委婉语的构成机制和认知理据,从而为跨文化交际提供理论指导。

Euphemisms used to be regarded as a traditional linguistic phenomena and a figure of speech,and are often studied from the perspectives of social linguistics and psycholinguistics.From a cognitive perspective,however,a conceptual metaphors is an important mechanism in the formation of euphemisms.According to the conceptual metaphor theory of cognitive linguistics,this paper makes a case study of Euphemisms about Financial Crisis to explore the construction mechanism and cognitive basis of euphemisms.
