Majiang,a traditional Chinese entertainment,is taken as a main perspective in this paper to analysis the connotation of Amy Tan＇s ＂The Joy Luck Club＂.Majiang,as a heritage of Oriental Culture is more like a bridge linking the east and west culture with the third space that it creates.The awkward identity of the Chinese immigrants,as a marginal ethnic group in the American society,is revealed in the context of the post colonialism.It is also a key tool reflecting the heroine＇s love to her mother land.Meanwhile it also attempts to work out Aimy Tan＇s contribution,as an American Chinese writer,to balancing the west-east cultural conflicts.
