现代远程教育在苏州地区的机遇、挑战及对策

Opportunities,Challenges and Countermeasures of Modern Distance Education in Suzhou Area

随着网络技术的高速发展,现代远程教育由于其入学门槛低、办学方式灵活等优点,正逐渐为世人所接受。但其劣势在于:学生之间、师生之间缺乏交流,教学资源单一。作为转型升级排头兵的苏州市,社会经济结构变化也为远程教育带来了机遇:企业的人才培训使数以万计的员工有充电的市场需求,农村城镇化带来的失地农民劳动生产技能的培训需求,"终生学习"观念及老龄化带来的社区培训的需求。这些都要求我们转变办学观念,改革教学模式,充实教学资源,狠抓教学质量,使远程教育在苏州立于不败之地。

With the rapid development of the Internet technology, modern distance education, due to its low entrance requirements and flexible school, is being accepted increasingly. But its disadvantages are also obvious： a lack of communication between students and between teachers and students, and inadequate teaching resources. Suzhou City is the vanguard of the transformation and upgrading, whose socio-economic structural changes bring opportunities to distance education： maket demands from tens of thousands of employees for personnel training, skill training needs from landless agricultural labor moving to rural urbanization, and the community training needs under the influence of ＂life long learning＂ concept and the aging of the society. All these require us to change school concept, reform the teaching model, enrich teaching resources, and pay close attention to the quality of teaching, so as to make the distance education stand firmly in Suzhou.
