在唐传奇中,墙意象频繁出现,带着不同的文化意蕴,彰显出唐人特殊的心灵世界:既有邪恶力量铸成的"盾墙"下敢于博弈的浪漫主义情怀,又有礼教与"户婚"制度所铸成的"围墙"下唐代男女沉溺与逃脱的双重宿命,还有唐人"仕梦"与"尘梦"幻灭后无法触碰的"空墙"。从而使得"墙"意象成为唐朝政治、社会、人生、爱情、宗教等多重主题的载体。

The images of wall appeared frequently in the Legends of Tang Dynasty, which contained different cultural implications, high/ighting the special spiritual world in Tang Dynasty. First, with the romantic feeling, Tang people were courageous to break through the ＂shield wall＂ made up of evil force. Second, under the ＂enclosing wall＂ made up of ethics and marriage system, men and women in Tang Dynasty had addicted to the fatalism, which they wanted to escape from at the same time. Third, there was ＂empty wall＂, which was hard for men to touch especially when their dreams of being an official or a suceessful man came into disillusion, it is obvious that through the images of wall we can know the multiple themes of Tang Dynasty, such as polities, society, life. love and relia＇ion.
