Chen Yinque' s Contradiction of Baiyi and Shuqi

"夷齐心结"是陈寅恪先生用尽后半生心力都未能解开卸下的精神包袱。此一"心结"的形成及日趋加重,乃是历史、时代、家世背景与个人遭际等几方面因素共同作用的结果。"不夷不惠之间",是特定时代处世方式选择之自嘲。陈先生的晚年理想,则在于"桃源"之寻与"河汾"之梦。

Baiyi and Shuqi＇ s contradiction was Chen Yinque＇ s spirit of burden which could not be given up in his later life.The reasons fro the formation and increase of this contradiction comes from history,age,family and personal fate of misfortune and so on.Taking a middle-of-the-road attitude was only the rhetoric of selecting the way of conducting oneself in a society.The expectations of Chen Yinque in his later years lie in looking for Taoyuan and the dream of the Henfe.
