A Diachronic Research on Sino-U.S. Relationship from the Perspective of Critical Discourse Analysis

批评话语分析不仅研究特定社会语境中的语言和语篇,同时对语篇生成背景进行考察,它关注社会问题,以社会的、文化的实践和结构为出发点来研究语言。历史话语分析模式是批评话语分析的一种方法,把零乱无序的社会历史事件作为话语分析的背景加入考量范围,从而更准确地分析意识形态、社会权利等与语篇相互塑造的关系。将特定历史阶段前后的新闻报道进行对比,能够为研究社会变迁和意识形态的变化提供可靠的依据。

Critical discourse analysis takes a social and cultural perspective to study the language and discourse in specific social context, as well as the social background in which the discourse takes place. It pays attention to social problems, taking social, cultural practices and structure as the starting point to study the language. Historical discourse analysis is one method of critical discourse analysis, which connects random historical incidents with linguistic analysis, hence more accurate analysis of the context knitted with social ideologies and rights are achieved. Comparison of published news before and after specific historical stage provides a foundation for exploring the changes in society and ideology.
