民族音乐学与中国传统音乐理论在动态发展过程中有分野,也不断接轨,最后形成了一致归属:研究范围——全人类的音乐舞蹈;研究方法——多元的用以解释人类音乐文化现象的方法;研究目的——在研究中认知自我和他者音乐文化,把音乐研究成果之精华用于人类音乐教育,在音乐研究和音乐教育中以多种形式传承人类音乐文化遗产。

There were differences between ethnomusicology and traditional Chinese musical theory,but they finally achieve the agreement by integrating into each other.The common research scope is to study the music and dance of the humanity,the research method is multiple ones to interpret the music and cultural phenomenon and the research purpose is to understand the music culture,apply the essence of music research to the music education and hand down musical heritage in various forms in music research and music education.
