The theory of conversational implication by Grice is the core of pragmatics because it greatly promotes the research of the field. Taking the dialogues in the film Guasha as examples, this paper explores the nature, principle, occurrence and char-acteristics of conversational implication, and it also exemplifies the practical application of this theory in analyzing characters.
