Reinterpretation of Vermeer's Skopos Theory about Flexibility of Literary Translation

Vermeer＇s Skopos theory approaches translation studies from a broader sphere of act theory by jumping out of language shackles, providing a new angle to integrate different schools of translation studies to avoid the marginalization tendency. Skopos theory permits different translation versions of the same text. The flexibility leaves much room for literary recreation, a Skopos plus loyalty pattern. Analyzing the translation of attitudinal meanings in literary texts endeavors to emphasize the uniquely directive signifieances and appropriateness of Skopos theory in the translation of interpersonal meanings of literary language.
