From the cognitive point of view, synaesthesia includes the cognitive thinking process. As the means of expressing feelings and unique experience, synaesthetic metaphors show great creativity, imagination and emotions of people. This paper aims to explore the characteristics of synaesthetic metaphor and its strong effect of expressing emotioh through analyzing the odes of John Keats, thus enabling us to better understand the artistic conception of literary works.
