武汉市邮政设施专项规划以"极核驱动、以点带面、分层实施、整体推进"为发展思路,构建基于邮政普遍服务的基础设施体系;明确武汉市邮政设施规划配置标准和建设标准,在邮政业务预测的基础上对邮政设施总量进行控制,对邮政设施网络进行空间布局及优化,控制邮政基础设施用地。专项规划还对邮政设施提出了单独用地和复合建设两种用地控制模式,提高了规划的可操作性。
