It is the fine tradition of Chinese poetry that poems express ideas and literary works record events.However,Xichui Zhuzhici possessed both functions and so is widely read.Xuchui Zhuzhici written by Qi Yunshi perfectly combined the function of expressing ideas of poems and the function of recording events of literary works.As a lover for and researcher of western region civilization,he depicted the history,geography and folk customs of western region in his poems.Also he expressed his identity for western region in terms of historical identity,spatial unity and identity for western customs and conventions.
