DOA Estimation Based on the Largest Eigenvalue for Pencil Beam Smart Antennas

本文针对应用于DS CDMA系统的针状波束智能天线 ,提出了一种基于最大特征值的DOA检测算法 .由于充分利用了CDMA系统特性 ,这种算法具有结构简单、运算量低、分辨率高的特点 .理论分析和计算机仿真结果表明 ,它具有很高的稳定性和很强的抗多径的能力 .

A novel DOA estimation algorithm based on the largest eigenvalue of the covariance matrix is presented.It mainly applies to the pencil beam smart antenna in DS CDMA systems.Different from other DOA estimation algorithms,it only picks up the main path signal of the target user.Thus it can get a high resolution with lower computational requirements.Theoretical analyses and simulation results show that this method has quite good stability and robustness,especially under severe multipath propagation circumstances.
