Some Law Problems on the International Multimodal Transport

国际货物多式联运是一种现代化的运输方式 ,随着集装箱运输的发展 ,它在国际货物运输中的地位日益重要 ,同时也提出了许多急待解决的法律问题。本文结合《联合国国际货物多式联运公约》和国际商会制定的《联合运输单证统一规则》的规定 ,对国际货物多式联运的概念、多式联运单据的性质和作用、多式联运经营人的责任制度和责任限制等法律问题进行了探讨。

International multiomodal transport is a modern means of transportation. It appeared in the 1960s. With the development of container transportation, its status has become more and more important in the international transportatin of goods. Meanwhile, It also causes many rather urgent legal problems. Based on the “UN Convention on International Multimodal Transport of Goods” and ICC 'Uniform Rules for a Combined Transport Document', this article has discussed the conception of international multimodal transpor, the uses and character of combined transport document, the liability system and restriction of combined transport operator.
