The city in Europe had developed greatly in course of the social translation from the Middle Age to the modem age. The patriarchal rule of the government in early stage made women disadvantageous in city. People not only believed that there were different rooms between men and women, but also reinforced this idea in many ways. This gendered character of the urban geography in Europe had the implication of culture con- struction not only in geography but also in its social authority, which deepened the gender inequity. It showed that there was a long- range course to achieve the gender equity and liberation of women towards the modem age.
