With the achievement of popularization of higher education in China,the higher education is now in a crucial strategic opportunity.To achieve development in the new times and upgrade the core competition,Shandong Polytechnic University established a development strategy： to strengthen the characteristic in light industry,to accelerate the connotation development,to pay close attention to the teaching quality.Meanwhile,the university strives to highlight the ＂characteristics＂,make efforts in ＂connotation＂,and focus on ＂quality＂.The strategy explored a effective way for a local business-characteristics university to upgrade its core competition.
