The Geographical Names in Huanren and the Social Culture

地名是语言学中的专有名词,是语言的有机组成部分,地名是一种文化现象,是一种社会现象,更是一种语言现象。对地名的研究应该运用社会语言学的理论和方法,对地名的文化特征进行分析。通过对桓仁县104个村的地名进行调查、研究,对桓仁地名的文化特征进行了全方位的描述与分类,并作出结论。

The name of places is the exclusive vocabulary of linguistics,and also a intelgral part of the organic whole of language.The name of the places is a linguistic phenomenon,a social phenomenon and a cultural phenomenon.We should take a sociolinguistic approach and take a analysis of the cultural features of the place names. This paper takes a survey of 149 village and 15 streets of Huanren County and makes a comprehensive description and analyisis to the cultural features of the geographical names in Huanren.
