On the Cognitive Mechanism of Metaphor from the Perspective of Conceptual Integration Theory:Evidence from the Lyric Late Spring

Fauconnier的概念整合理论是当前解释隐喻工作机制最有影响的理论之一。运用概念整合理论,结合韩愈《晚春》诗中的意境,对隐喻的认知运作机制进行阐释,能够更深刻地认识隐喻语言即时在线意义建构过程,也证明了认知语言学理论对汉语诗歌具有强大的阐释力。

Fauconnier＇s Conceptual Integration Theory （CIT） is one of the most influential theories in explaining the working mechanism of metaphor. The paper, in line with Fauconnier＇s Conceptual Integration Theory, combined with the theme of Han-Yu＇s Late Spring, expounds the cognitive operational mechanism of metaphor, and enables reader to better understand the process of the on-line meaning construction of metaphorical language. It also proves that the theory of Cognitive Linguistics has strong interpreting power to Chinese poem.
