摘要
2012年的诺贝尔奖因为莫言得奖而在中国变得异常热闹。诺奖不仅给我们带来喜悦和期待,也带来反思和启示。
Mo Yan’s 2012 Nobel Prize in Literature has led to discussion and reflection about the Chinese education system and academic environment. China’s investment in scientific research has approached the average level of developed countries, which equips China with the hardware facilities. The fact that Brian K. Kobilka, the 2012 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, is the guest professor of Tsinghua University indicates that China is attractive enough to Nobel Prize-level professionals. The Nobel Prize is not far away from China. But China still has a long way to go. Education ought to foster, rather than kill children’s creativity. Scholars should be more persistent and absorbed in research.
