A Case Study on the Commemoration for the Completion of Manchukuo's Capital Construction in 1937

依据历史文献记述伪满洲国时期"新京"第一期五年计划完成的"国都建设纪念"典礼,揭示了其将建筑和城市建设作为主要展品的政治用意,探讨其仪式次序、路线选择、宣传方式与伪满政治和文化形象建构的关系。

Based on various forms of historical accounts,this paper restores the picture of an overlooked state ritual in Manchukuo,i.e.the commemoration for the completion of capital construction in September 1937,in order to reveal the political maneuver of architecture and urban construction as major exhibit in this ceremony,and the relationship between the arrangements of the ceremony and the construction of Manchukuo＇s cultural and political profile.
