成矿系列理论是目前国内地学界开展成矿规律研究的重要指导思想之一。为了使成矿系列理论既便于同成矿地质背景研究相衔接,又便于应用于矿产预测及勘查部署,阐明成矿系列与地质建造的关系具有重要意义。按照生成的相对时间,可将各类地质建造有关成矿系列细化为同生成矿系列、准同生成矿系列、后生成矿系列、表生风化成矿系列等类别。同一套地质建造有关的几个世代的成矿系列,可构成一个成矿系列家族。在区域成矿规律研究中应用时,首先划分成矿区带,然后对每个成矿区带,分别研究总结各类主要地质建造有关成矿系列家族。

The metallogenic series theory is an important thought guiding the studies of metallogenie regularities in China. A good understanding of the relalionship between metallogenie series and geological formation is of considerable significance as it can help link this theory with the studies of metallogenie background and thus be applied to mineral deposit prediction and prospecting deployment. In accordance with the forming time, the metallogenie series related to geological formation can be divided into syngenetic metallogenie series, pene - contemporaneous metallogenic series, epigenetie metallogenic＇ series and superfieial weatheriug metallogenie series. Several metallogeuie series related to the same geological formation comprise a metallogenic series family. When the theory is applied to regional metallugenic regularity studies, metallogenie belts should be defined filet, and then the metallogenic series family related to the main geological furmations in every metallogenie belt can be summarized.
