More and more Chinese rare earth enterprises in- volving in production suspension to stabilize market Affected by economy depression, rare earth market underwent downturn since the second half of 2012. Price of rare earth products went downwardconstantly and dealings were slow in the market. To stabilize the market and balance supply and demand, more and more Chinese rare earth producers are involving in production suspension. Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Rare-Earth Hi-Tech announced that the company decided to suspend production of its rare earth roasting, smelting and separation plants that process Baotou rare earth minerals and Quannan Jinghuan Technology Co., Ltd and Xinfeng Xinli Rare Earths Co., Ltd that deal with southern rare earth minerals for one month from October 23. Baotou Steel Rare-Earth will temporarily stop raw material supply to those plants.
