The report of 18th party congress has firstly put forward construction of ecological civilization in a separate chapter. As an important part, in order to build a beautiful China, and realize the sustainable development of the nation, it has clarified the idea of ecological civilization, which is to respect nature, comply with nature, protect nature, and given great significance to its construction, integrated into all kinds of aspects and the progresses of economic, political, cultural and social constructions. It shows the deepening of CPC＇s recognition on the general arrangement with socialism with Chinese characteristics, and has paid unprecedented attention to the construction of ecological civilization. It also manifested Chinese peoples＇ responsible spirit to the descendants and the world. Marxism contains abundant ideas on ecological civilization with great value. At present, it has great practical and historical significance to review and discuss to the ideas of Marxist ecological civilization.
