摘要
修辞在西方通常被广义地理解为"说服的艺术"。本文通过解读斯密各著作中关于修辞的论述及其与斯密各思想体系之间关系,从修辞与文体、修辞与德性、修辞与市场三个角度提炼斯密所持有的修辞观,探讨斯密对人与人之间的情感交流和互动的强调,以及斯密对修辞的认知性特点和修辞在人类行为中所发挥的作用的思考与见解。
Rhetoric is broadly defined as 'the art of persuasion' in the west.By studying the illustrations on rhetoric in Smith's works and the relations among all his thought systems,this paper grasped Smith's philosophy of rhetoric from three perspectives of rhetoric and style,rhetoric and virtue,rhetoric and market.It was pointed out that Smith put special emphasis on the interpersonal communication of sentiments.Furthermore,Smith had deep insights on the epistemological nature of rhetoric and the important role that rhetoric played in human life.
