With unique image and rich message, moon has been loved by writers since ancient times, and become an impor tant and common literary image in literary creation. Taking LAO She and ZHANG Ai-ling as examples, this paper compares the differences and similarities of the moon image in their works and analyzes the reason for such differences so as to reveal the important role of the moon image in the literary creation and its new development change in modern and contemporary lit erature.
