Plant Recognition and Plantscape Design

植物认知是植景设计的基础,植物如其他生物一样具有生命特质的同时,还具有审美、空间和文化特质,尊重自然、文化和历史的植景设计理当以对植物群体和个体"四特质"的准确理解和把握为基础,唯此,方能做到相地合宜、构景得体,"自成天然之趣,不烦人事之工"。

Plant recognition is the basis of plantscape design. Plants not only have the same properties of life as other organism but also have aesthetic, spatial and cultural characters. Plantscape design should respect nature, culture and history. Therefore, a clear recognition of the characters of plant communities and individual plants are required, which will help to create a site-specific and natural landscape with less human intervention.
