端方农业近代化思想初探

A Preliminary Study on the Thoughts of Duan Fang about Agricultural Modernization

端方是晚清比较务实、有作为的政府官员,是满人督抚中的佼佼者。他在奏折和批文中提出了系统完整的农业近代化思想。他力主引进外国先进农业技术和人才;倡导近代农业教育;重视开展各种农业试验,推动中国近代农学的发展;提倡农工商一体化。他的农业思想所彰显出来的那种务实、开拓精神,对我们今天解决"三农"问题仍有一定的借鉴价值。

Duan Fang, a pragmatic and capable government official, was an outstanding figure in Manchus governors in the Late Qing Dynasty. He put forward systematic thoughts about agricultural modernization. He strongly advocated foreign advanced agricultural technology and talents; called for modern agriculture education; put emphasis on carrying out various agricultural experiments to promote the development of Chinese modern agriculture science;and encouraged integration og agriculture, industry and business. His agricultural thoughts manifest a kind of practical and pioneering spirit. It still has some value in solving the problems in ＂agriculture, countryside and farmers＂ todav.
