In light of fundamental theories of culture and leisure science,this paper makes a study on developmental history and cultural value of the leisure sports education.It maintains that leisure physical education has a profound cultural implication with cultural orientations in response to the modernization requirements,and leisure sports education reflects the life pursuit,a driving force for developing＂free men＂.The cultural study on leisure physical education reveals its rich humanistic purport,consciously caring for human life world,and establishes a＂people-oriented＂ philosophical foundation and harmonious cultural environments.
