摘要
本文将语类分析和介入理论相结合,通过对中国博士生撰写的科技类期刊论文引言中转述(带有转述动词和that从句)的分析,研究了转述中使用介入资源表达评价的主要特征。结果显示,转述借以表达态度的手段因语篇交际目的不同而有所变化,学生作者在使用转述时可以根据语篇交际目的的不同而采用适当的介入资源,具有一定的社会建构意识和立场修辞建构意识,但由于对隐喻式高值认同转述句过多地、不恰当地使用,且不善于利用时态的情态意义隐性调节评价,因而不利于作者创设一个有效说服读者的合适语境。
Integrating engagement theory with genre analysis, this paper aims to explore the evaluative features of reporting clauses with that-clause complementation in the introduction sections of research articles by Chinese Ph.D candidates. A detailed analysis of 68 texts has revealed the following results: The engagement resources used to evaluate the cited proposition vary with discourse purposes. Chinese students have certain social awareness in constructing the evaluative meaning of reporting clauses. However, a persuasive context is not fully established because of the overused high-value endorsement resources in reporting clauses and the weak awareness of using tenses to adjust evaluative meaning of reporting clauses.
