摘要
长期的大学英语教学(包括英语专业教学)表明,高年级的英语学习者的英汉语水平呈现正相关的态势:英语表达的欠缺经常伴随汉语的表达困难。而通过考察语言、言语与思维之间的关系,维果茨基认为语言和思维在言语思维范围实现重合。进而根据教学实践,我们推论语言思维的缺乏局限了学生的语言能力。而事实上,英语、汉语的语言思维在哲学和认知的层面上都具备相似点,这就更加表明要改变这一现实,我们需要在教学中重视汉语学习,贯彻英汉思维对比的理念,以此来建立良好的英语学习习惯,提高学生的英语能力。
Long-term English teaching and learning shows that the English aptitude of the senior Enghsh learners has a positive correlation with their Chinese level: if a learner's English expression is not acceptable, his Chinese translation tends to be unacceptable either. Through an evaluation of the close relationship between language and thoughts, Lev Vygotsky (psychologist in former Soviet Union) posed that language and thoughts meet at the point of verbal thought. Further, according to the language teaching we predict that the lack of verbal thought confines the improvement of students' language aptitude. In fact the verbal thought of English and Chinese have things in common at the level of cognition and philosophy. To improve the English language aptitudes Chinese learning should be emphasized and a good English learning habit can be formed through comparison of two languages.
