摘要
本文以对某大型国企C公司的信息技术应用以及伴随该过程的组织文化转型的个案为例,着重探讨了信息技术应用前后组织文化可能发生的变迁,变迁的机制及在组织层面变迁得以发生的条件。研究表明,伴随信息技术的应用,C公司的文化从人情文化向职业文化转变;变迁发生的三重机制包括技术强迫、管理层设计和员工群体的调适;技术能否引致组织文化变迁取决于技术能否获得足够强大的组织合法性。最后作者探讨了本研究对当前国企二次改革的意义。
Based on a case study of ERP implementation and the transformation of organizational culture in company C,a large state-owned enterprise,this paper explores the mechanisms as well as the essential conditions of organizational culture transformation due to the application of ERP.By comparing the employees' interpretations of daily practices in the organization before and after the implementation of ERP,the paper finds that the informatization in company C has transformed its organizational culture from relation-based culture to rule-based professional culture.The mechanisms of this transformation include technology imperative,the management discipline and the employees' self-adaptation.The author argues that whether technology could change organizational culture depends on the extent of legitimacy the technology has acquired in the organization.The paper also discusses the implication of this study for the second-stage reform of state-owned enterprises.
