New Principle of Fault Identification for Wide-area Back-up Protection Based on Traveling Wave Information

摘要 提出一种利用广域行波信息进行故障判别的新原理。采集电网各节点电压,利用小波变换获取电压初始行波,计算电压初始行波能量。依据行波传播特性,越靠近故障点,电压行波能量越大。比较广域行波能量大小,电压初始行波能量最大的节点判断为故障节点。在该节点下,获取节点相关支路电流初始行波信息,得到节点各相关支路的初始行波功率方向。在确定的故障节点下,若功率方向为负,则该关联支路即为电网故障线路。通过大量仿真分析,验证了文中所提方法正确、清晰,实现简单,具有良好的应用前景。 A new fault identification method using wide-area traveling wave information is proposed. Getting grid voltage of each node, and using wavelet transform to obtain the initial traveling wave voltage, the initial traveling wave voltage energy can be calculated. Based on traveling wave propagation characteristics, the closer to the fault node the traveling wave is and the larger the traveling wave voltage energy will be. Comparing the size of wide-area traveling wave energy, if one node's initial traveling wave voltage energy is maximum, this node is determined as the fault node. Then accessing the initial traveling wave current information of all bran- ches related to the fault node, the direction of the initial traveling wave power for each relevant branches can be determined, and if the power direction of one branch under the fault node is negative, the associated branch is fault line. The proposed method is verified correctly, clearly, simple by a large number of simulation analysis, and with a good prospect.
