摘要
《申报》是近代上海颇具影响力的商业报刊之一,自创刊以来,刊登广告便是报社的一大业务。1876年的《申报》广告,是当年上海社会经济的缩影,其内容涉及拍卖、医药、住房、交通等物质生活的各个方面,体现了1876年上海洋货丰富、医药热销、洋房耸立、交通便捷的新面貌,反映了东西方物质文明在上海的并存和融合。同时,1876年《申报》广告也显现出经济发展所引起的社会问题,从正反两面呈现了近代上海社会的发展特征。
Shenbao is one of the most influential Chinese commercial newspapers in modern Shanghai. Since its foundation, publishing advertisements always played an important role in its operation. As the miniature of Shanghai＇s society and its economy in 1876, the advertisements in Shenbao had a multiplex contents dealing with many material fields, just like auction, pharmaceutical, housing, and traffic. The various foreign items, best--selling medicine, high foreign--style houses, and convenient transportation had brought a new face of Shanghai in 1876. Shenbao embodies that the material civilization of Eastern and Western coexists and combines in Shanghai. The advertisements in Shenbao also reflect social problems caused by economic development. They present the characteristics of social development in modern Shang- hai from both sides.
