对1窝4只白化孟加拉虎从1日龄到70日龄的人工育幼全过程进行了详细记述,对代乳犬和幼虎的饲养,幼虎的脐部护理,视觉器官发育、听觉器官发育、牙齿发育、行为观察、体重增长情况、体长和尾长增长情况、室温判定等进行了全面记述和分析讨论。结果显示:幼虎4～6日龄脐带脱落,8～10日龄眼睛睁开,12～16日龄具有防御意识,50日龄能够看15～20 m,65日龄30颗牙齿基本长出。随着日龄增加,幼虎体重、体长、尾长均呈现线性增长,且在1月龄内增长速度受初生重影响很大。

We describe the hand - rearing of 4 white tiger cubs （ Panthera tigris tigris ） of one litter from age 1 - 70 days. Cubs were nursed by a lactating dog and we describe feeding of the surrogate mother and the 4 cubs, umbilical cord care, development of sight and hearing, development of teeth and behaviors, growth in body mass and length, and tail length. We re- corded room temperature and analyzed its impact. Umbilical cords fell off when cubs were 4 - 6 days old, curbs firstly opened their eyes at 8 - 10 days, they had awareness of defense at 12 - 16 days, their visual range reached 15 - 20 m at 50 days, and the curbs normally had all 30 teeth at 65 days. With increasing age, cub body weight, body length, and tail length showed line- ar growth, the rate of which was strongly influenced during the first post - Dartum month bv birth weight.
