Comparative Study of Fines between China and Foreign Countries

罚金刑已成为当代西方刑法事实上的中心刑种之一。相比之下,在我国,由于传统观念的滞后,罚金刑的适用率还比较低。罚金刑将会在我国发挥越来越重要的作用,但不可能完全替代自由刑。

In the contemporary Western criminal law, fine has become one of the central penalties in reality. In contrast with foreign countries, the application of fine is still relatively low due to the obstacle of traditional conception in China. Fine will play more and more important role in China, but it would not completely replace freedom penalty in the future.
