Climate and Vegetation Changes in Mu Us Sandy Land

摘要 从古文献记载、地学、古生物学、考古发掘和树木年代学等方面探讨毛乌素沙地历史时期气候与植被的关系。结果表明:全新世以来,毛乌素沙地的气候经历了多次较大的干、湿交替。历史时期的几个湿润期分别是:10.0kaBP前后、8.5~5.0kaBP期间、3.5kaBP前后、2.5kaBP前后和1.5~1.0kaBP期间。伴随气候变化毛乌素沙地自然景观在荒漠草原、典型草原与森林草原间转换。毛乌素沙地现在的植被格局是在气候演变的大背景下形成的,在该地区进行植被修复及制定土地利用规划策略要充分考虑当地的气候因素。 Relationship between climate and vegetation in different developmental stage of Mu Us sandy land was examined from surveying ancient literature, geoscience, paleontology, archaeological excavations and tree chronology. The results showed that the climate in Mu Us sandy land had experienced several signifi cant dry-wet alternate since Holocene. The wet periods were around 10 kaBP, 8.5~5.0 kaBP, before and after 3.5 kaBP, around 2.5 kaBP and during the period of 1.5~1.0 kaBP. With the climate changes, the landscape in Mu Us Sandy land changed between, desert steppe-steppe-forest steppe. The current vegeta- tion patterns in Mu Us sandy land was formed during the climate evolution, so the vegetation restoration and making of programs about land use in the area should take full account of local climatic factors.
