隐喻理论认为隐喻不仅是一种语言现象,而且是一种思维方式,是人类认知世界并形成概念的一种非常重要的手段,因此学好英语的关键在于培养隐喻思维能力。以此,通过词汇、阅读、写作、文化等几个方面具体地探讨隐喻理论在英语学习中的应用。

The theory of metaphor claims that metaphor is not only a kind of linguistic phenomenon, but also a way of thinking, and a very important means of perceiving the world and forming the concepts as well. Therefore, the key to learning English well lies in cultivating our metaphorical thinking ability. This paper tentatively explores the applications of metaphor in words, reading, writing and cultural learning in English.
