Alice Walker is one of the most influential black African women writers in contemporary American literature field. Her masterpiece The Color Purple received the 1983 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the National Book Award. From the aspect of feminine theory of Alice Walker, the paper explores the theme of sisterhood. The relationship among black women should be established . Sisterhood is very important for women in their struggle for self liberation.
