长篇小说《活动变人形》是王蒙对中国文学史的重大贡献,是王蒙对民族精神深刻反思的结晶。女性人物形象在撑起整部小说大半边天的同时,也将封建意识捆绑于人心的罪恶感淋漓尽致、剔骨入髓地表现了出来。小说将女性形象同样置于中西文化的分裂冲突之中,写出了这种蜕变期的没落地主分子及非革命知识分子的绝望、痛苦与扭曲,并以此来表现封建文化的根深蒂固以及改造中国传统文化的艰巨性,昭示给我们咀嚼不尽的意味。

The famous novel, HUODONG BIAN RENXING, is Wang Meng~ significant contribution to the history of Chi nese literature. Feminine figurers dominated most parts of the novel, and they also manifest the guilt in most people＇s heart viv idly. It has achieved valuable results after pondering our national spirit. Wang Meng has put these feminine figurers into the conflict between Chinese and Occidental Cultures. Through the description of their male power consciousness, it reveals the strong root of feudal culture and the difficulties of transforming our backward culture, it also reveals feelings of despair, agony and distortion of bankrupt landlords and non - revolutionary intellectuals, which is quite thought - provoking.
