This paper gives a description of the project Studies of Global Chinese Grammar as fol- lows. Its framework covers its present and future studies, its theoretical and practical orientation and the main and supplementary focuses; its main contents cover four major tasks, five sub-projects and six research points; its research approaches are the recording of facts, the research of the common language with dialects as the supplement based on a step-by-step plan;its expected goals are a correct understanding of the use of the Chinese language in the world, an expectation of the emergence of new theories, good language planning and development.
