萍乡高专公共英语EGP与ESP相结合的教学模式探索

EGP and ESP Teaching Model of Public English in Pingxiang College

高职高专英语教育培养的是既懂英语又懂专业的应用性人才,提出"实用为主、够用为度,应用为目的"的原则。然而,我校的英语教学处于EGP与ESP失衡的状态。本文通过分析我校公共英语的现状,提出高专英语改革应兼顾"语言+专业"的要求,遵循实用性与需求性原则,力求探索适合我校公共英语EGP与ESP相结合的教学模式。

The main teaching goal of technical college focuses on cultivating the students who not only master English but also have another major. The principle is ＂focus on application, enough to use, practice as goal. ＂ However, our college has lost the balance between EGP and ESP. Through analysis on current situation of public English in our college, this paper puts forward English teaching model should obey the principle of ＂language ＋ major＂, application and demand. The author investigates the teaching model of public English combining EGP and ESP.
