Observational Study on Biological Characteristics of Tetragnatha shikokiana.

圆尾肖蛸在山东鲁东南日照沿海地区1年发生1代,以不同的若蛛在枯枝落叶、杂草丛、翘皮中越冬。翌年4月中旬开始出蛰,7月上旬分别发育至成蛛并交配,8月下旬开始产卵、孵化,11月上旬开始越冬。平均卵期7.6 d,若蛛期316.25 d,成蛛期78.88 d。圆尾肖蛸是多种害虫的重要天敌。封山育林和严禁烧荒、使用化学农药是保护成若蛛的关键。

Tetraqnatha shikokiana, has one generation a year in southeast littoral of Shandong Province.Overwinter takes place as larva in the woods or weeds, emergence in middle April of the next year and development to mature and mating occurs in early July.Oviposition occurs and hatching in late August;winter takes place in early November. Its overage incubation period is 7.6 days,larva period is 316.25 days ,and adult period is 78.88 days. It is an important natural enemy of various insect pests. Closing hillsides and planting trees with prohibition of burning the grass on waste land and using chemical insecticide was the key to protect them.
