全球企业社会责任的发展正呈现出波及范围全球化、参与主体多元化、评价体系标准化,以及正逐步融入企业战略与管理等特点和趋势。新世纪以来,五家国际大石油公司(壳牌、BP、埃克森美孚、雪佛龙和道达尔)形成了以可持续发展为目标,兼顾经济、社会、环境三大责任的社会责任理念;注重转变发展方式,强调"方式"与"结果"同等重要;并将社会责任理念融入企业文化。国际大石油公司通过五大方略全面提升企业社会责任管理和实践水平:将责任理念全面融入公司战略和管理体系;明确界定利益相关方,确定重大责任议题;建立起兼顾经济、环境、社会三大责任的关键业绩指标体系;将社会投资作为参与社区建设的重要手段;建立履责信息披露机制,推进公司透明度建设。五家国际大石油公司在企业社会责任理念与责任管理实践方面的经验和做法,反映出在经济全球化背景下其在创新管理方面的战略选择,值得中国企业学习和借鉴。
The development of corporate social responsibility among global enterprises is showing features and trends such as globalization, pluralistic participants, standardized evaluation systems and gradual incorporation into enterprise strategy and management. Since the start of the new century, the five major international oil companies (Shell, BP, Exxon Mobil, Chevron and Total) have developed the social responsibility philosophy of giving due consideration to their responsibility respectively for the economy, society and the environment, with sustainable development being the objective. They have attached importance to the transformation of development modes, stressed that the 'mode' and the 'result' are of equal importance, and integrated the social responsibility philosophy into their corporate culture. The major international oil companies are comprehensively promoting the management and practice of corporate social responsibility with five overall strategies: integrating the responsibility philosophy into the company strategy and management system in an all- round way; identifying stakeholders, and determining major responsibility topics; establishing a key performance index system giving consideration to the responsibility respectively for the economy, environment and society; regarding social investment as an important approach for participation in community building; establishing an information disclosure mechanism to enhance the transparency of the company. The experience and practice of the five major international oil companies in corporate social responsibility and their work in this field reflect their strategic selection in innovation management in their drive toward economic globalization background, and merit the attention of Chinese enterprises.
