摘要
在西夏,大黑天不仅奉为佛教护法,更具有保家卫国的政治功能。本文以俄藏黑水城文献《大黑根本命咒》(TK262)为例,略加考察大黑天在西夏的宗教、世俗及政治功能,另交代相关的修法地点,以反映西夏藏传佛教信仰的一个侧面。
Mahākāla is not only regarded as a dharma protector but a state protector by the imperials of Xixia.One of the root mantras The Mahākāla Root Mantra（TK262）,which is now kept in Russia,will be briefly introduced of it＇s method of daily practice,the meaning of the mantra and the various locations of practice.It can be treated as an aspect of Tibetan Buddhist cult in Xixia.
