移位修饰语辞格研究

英语移位修饰语辞格,由于不如其他修辞手法使用得广泛,因而一般的修辞书很少提及。但由于它在手法上有其独特之处,在理解方面颇有难度,很值得研究。本文从移位修饰语辞格的内容、内在联系、作用及翻译的方法对该辞格进行了分析。

Transferred epithet, a figure of speech, is neglected because it is not widely nsed in writing. Moreover, it is not easy to be fully understood because of its peculiarities of the rhetorical device. Therefore, transferred epithet is well worth studying. This paper makes an analysis of its types, the relationship between the modifying word and the word modified, functions and the ways to translate them.
