摘要
本文针对孔子学院对汉语习得的经济效应和孔子学院与当地服务外国人士(非华裔子弟)的汉语学校之间的相互影响进行了理论分析。研究结果显示,尽管孔子学院提供的汉语课程使得自学汉语的人数和汉语学校的学生人数双双下降,但是孔子学院的学生人数大量增加。整体而言,孔子学院成功地引导了更多的海外人士习得汉语。在绝大多数情况下,不管当地是否已经存在汉语学校,所在国的经济福利都将受益于孔子学院的建立。
This paper focuses on the economic effects of the overseas acquisition of Chinese caused by Confucius Institute, and the interactions between Confucius Institute and the local Chinese schools, whose students are local people (non-Chinese descendants). The results indicate that the Chinese programs in Confucius Institute decrease the numbers of people who study Chinese independently or in local Chinese schools. However, these programs increase the number of students studying at Confucius Institute. Generally, the success of Confucius Institute has introduced more overseas people into the acquisition of Chinese. In most cases, no matter whether there are local Chinese schools or not, the economic welfare of the countries, who host Confucius Institute, has been increased by the establishment of the institute.
