The novel two-stage catalysts for hydrotreating CPP naph- tha developed by PetroChina＇s Petrochemical Research Institute has been successfully applied in the 120 kt/a two- stage pyrolysis naphtha hydrotreating unit at the Shenyang Wax Chemical Company, Ltd. of China Blue Star Group. The outcome of one-month-long commercial application tests has revealed that the unit operated smoothly and the catalysts could fully fulfill the requirements of the com- mercial unit to achieve for the first time commercializationof the process for hydrotreating CPP naphtha.
