The Historical Contributions and Lessons of Failure of the Revolution of 1911 on the Political Democratization of China

辛亥革命在政治上的直接后果是建立了中国第一个资产阶级民主共和国。但是,由于对近代中国基本国情以及社会主要矛盾缺乏完全清醒的判断,导致革命党人在辨别敌友这一革命首要问题上存在着严重缺陷,这是辛亥革命失败的重要根源。辛亥革命历史教训表明,中国革命和建设要获得胜利,首先应从实际出发,认清现实社会的性质及其主要矛盾。

The direct consequence of the Revolution of 1911 in politics is the establishment of the first Chinese bourgeois democratic republic.However,serious flaw of discrimination on who are friends and who are enemies is an important source of the failure of the Revolution because of the lack of sober judgment on Chinese fundamental condition and the main social contradiction.The historical lesson of the Revolution of 1911 demonstrates that in order to succeed on Chinese revolution and construction,first of all,we should set out from reality,recognizing the social nature and the main contradiction.
