Discussion on Improvement Cultural Literacy of English Teachers from New Perspective of Cross-cultural

英语教师应有良好的英语文化修养,才能在英语教学中充分传授英语语言,使学生能运用所学语言进行有效的交际。文章针对当前英语教师自身文化素养的现状,强调应着重提高其文化素养并就提高英语教师文化素养的途径进行探讨。

Only English teachers have good English cultural accomplishment could they fully teach English language in English teaching, and could students communicate effectively using what they learn. In this paper, according to the current status of cultural literacy in English teachers, the improvement of their cultural qualities was emphasized and the effective ways were discussed.
